VAHS Response to Victorian Government 2024-25 Budget

On 7 May 2024 the Victorian Government released their 2024-25 budget. VAHS understands that they have some big infrastructure projects to fund, but the Victorian Premier and Treasurer communicated that this was a budget to help families.

There are a couple of specific allocations for VAHS programs, including paediatrics and Yarning Safe N Strong, and we are working with relevant government departments on how commitments made across key areas will flow through to community controlled organisations.

Overall, there is lack of required funding required to expand the great work that occurs across VAHS and other community controlled organisations. VAHS will continue to advocate strongly that more needs to be done to support our people.
